Reports to: Head of FP&A / Commercial Finance Manager

Role Purpose

Support the FP&A and Commercial Finance team through the delivery of insightful financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and business partnering across key functions including Operations and Marketing. The role will play a key part in driving performance through robust reporting, commercial analysis and actionable insight to support decision making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of the weekly P&L reporting process for senior leadership meetings, including detailed analysis versus budget and prior year performance
• Preparation and distribution of the weekly board performance pack, providing company-wide analysis on trading performance, key KPIs and competitor benchmarking
• Production of site-by-site period-end P&L analysis using TM1 and Qlik data, including EBITDA margin analysis and performance insight across the estate
• Business partnering with the Marketing team, including preparation and presentation of marketing cashflow reporting and analysis
• Business partnering with Operations teams to support commercial initiatives, including waste management reporting and performance tracking to drive operational efficiencies and decision making
• Preparation and reconciliation of accruals and prepayments for advertising and promotional spend, including identification and tracking of material prepaid costs
• Preparation of periodic sales and KPI reporting packs, including ASPH analysis, sales trends and competitor performance analysis
• Analysis and modelling of new promotional activity, assessing profitability, incrementality and cannibalisation impacts to support commercial decision making
• Supporting continuous improvement of reporting processes, financial models and management information across the FP&A function
• Providing ad hoc commercial and financial analysis to support wider business initiatives and strategic projects

Skills & Experience

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified / part-qualified
• Experience within FP&A, commercial finance or financial analysis roles
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate financial performance clearly
• Experience preparing management reporting and performance analysis in a fast-paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
• Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modelling capability
• Experience using TM1, Qlik Sense or similar BI/reporting tools desirable
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience within retail, hospitality or consumer-facing businesses advantageous
