Salary: £125 – 150,000 + bonus and package

A rapidly expanding, VC-backed international events company is recruiting a VP of Finance for a newly created role. The business has experienced significant growth in recent years and this role will support continued expansion.

In this position, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the business, working closely with the CFO and other senior leaders. You will lead the finance team, which includes the Head of Finance, FP&A Director, and their respective teams. Your responsibilities will include steering the finance team and managing performance effectively. You will oversee all aspects of management reporting, financial accounting, FinOps, and finance business partnering. In collaboration with the CFO and FP&A Director, you will engage in long-term financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Regular reviews of actuals versus forecasts will be part of your role, providing insights that support decision-making and drive business performance, particularly around cost and profitability. Additionally, you will support the enhancement of MI capability and ensure timely management and investor reporting. As the business continues to expand internationally, you will build and manage effective finance functions in overseas subsidiaries and joint ventures. Your role will involve overseeing internal and external financial reporting, audits, tax and transfer pricing, and financial controls and processes. You will also assist the CFO, CEO, and leadership team on various special projects and support any future sale or business transactions.
