Head of Financial Reporting

Our client is a leading, global Media business with an outstanding performance, profitability and growth track record with a notable brand. Following significant expansion and sustained success globally, they are now seeking a Head of Financial Reporting to report to the Group Financial Controller to join their high performing team. The Head of Financial Reporting will be joining the business to further the growth, transforming their finance function and delivering further success.

The Head of Financial Reporting will lead the reporting team, taking ownership of an accurate and efficient reporting process, both monthly and through year end. Recent significant acquisitions have significantly increased the size of the business and added to the complexity of both the period end reporting and corporate structure. The complex and constantly changing corporate structure is due to its acquisitive nature. The individual will provide technical expertise in accounting for these transactions and support in the integration of newly acquired businesses. You will also be involved in ad-hoc project work including involvement strategically across the business. The organisation are looking to drive improvements in reporting, financial accounting and systems, while setting the standard for internal control. This role will manage a team underneath them. This position is also the recognised deputy for the Director of Finance, representing them when they are not available.

My client is seeking a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA or similar). While Media experience would be advantageous, candidates will be considered from any sector. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and commercial environment as well as having the credibility interacting with Senior Directors. This is a superb opportunity to join an exciting and fast paced business. The role would be paying a very strong basic salary - £85,000-£95,000 plus bonus & benefits. The role is based in London.
