FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – 12 MONTH FTC

Central London | Hybrid (4 days in the office)

Up to £65,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits

A leading FTSE-listed business is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a broad financial accounting role within a high-calibre Financial Reporting team, with responsibility for the reporting and finance activities of a significant joint venture.

The role combines management and statutory reporting, technical accounting, forecasting, cash management and analysis, with considerable exposure to senior stakeholders across the business and external JV partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking responsibility for day-to-day financial accounting and reporting for a joint venture.
• Preparing management accounts and analysing performance against budget and forecast.
• Producing financial information for quarterly board packs.
• Managing cash balances, funding requirements and cash flow reporting.
• Preparing technical accounting papers for transactions within the JV.
• Preparing statutory accounts and associated disclosures.
• Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Working closely with Tax, Treasury and other finance teams on transactions and restructures.
• Liaising with external auditors and JV partners.
• Providing financial analysis to support commercial decision-making.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), ideally trained within a leading accounting firm, with strong technical accounting skills and experience of audit and/or statutory accounts. You will be commercially aware, highly analytical and comfortable taking ownership of your work while managing relationships with a range of senior stakeholders.
