Financial Accountant
6 Month Fixed Term Project
Location: Central London / Hybrid (4 days in office)
£60,000 PRO RATA PLUS BENEFITS
A high-profile FTSE-listed property business is recruiting a Financial Accountant to join its Group Financial Reporting team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, technical, and numerate qualified accountant to become a key member of a high-performing finance function within a complex listed environment.
The role offers strong exposure across group reporting, joint ventures, statutory processes and financial controls, alongside the opportunity to contribute to business analysis and decision-making. You will support key reporting cycles including half-year and year-end results, while gaining valuable experience across a broad range of finance activities within a FTSE business.
Specifically, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of internal and external reporting processes, including statutory accounts, management reporting and quarterly joint venture reporting. You will take ownership of key financial controls such as balance sheet and cash reconciliations, contribute to performance analysis versus budget and forecast, and assist with the preparation of board packs and management information. The role will also involve supporting cashflow reporting, funding processes and distributions, as well as working closely with external auditors and assisting with corporation tax processes.
In addition, you will be involved in a variety of ad hoc projects, including covenant analysis, transaction support and process improvements, working closely with teams across Treasury, Tax, FP&A and the wider finance function.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent), ideally with a strong technical background from a Big 4 or Top 10 firm. You will have experience in financial reporting or audit, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset, attention to detail and confidence engaging with stakeholders will be key to success in this role.
Due to the dynamic nature of the business and ongoing change within the finance function, there is strong potential for the role to be extended or for a permanent opportunity to arise for a high-performing individual.
