A leading FTSE-listed property development group is looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner into its high-calibre finance team. With a multi-billion-pound portfolio and a track record of delivering some of the UK’s most high-profile developments, the business combines institutional strength with a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture.

This is a commercially focused role partnering directly with the Development team. You will take ownership of development cost control, forecasting and performance analysis across a live portfolio of projects, providing robust insight to support investment decisions. The position offers meaningful exposure to senior stakeholders across Development, FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury and Tax, alongside involvement in Board, Investment Committee and Joint Venture reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with operational leads to provide financial insight, challenge and decision support
• Oversee cost control and performance management across multiple projects
• Own core financial assumptions, budgets and profit tracking
• Lead forecasting cycles and manage variances against approved spend
• Review project spend, accruals and capital allocation
• Produce detailed cashflow forecasts to support funding and planning
• Deliver analysis to underpin investment and capitalisation decisions
• Strengthen controls and drive continuous process improvement
• Contribute to internal and external reporting, funding discussions and strategic initiatives

You will be a qualified ACA, with strong technical foundations and the credibility to operate in a commercially demanding environment. Real estate experience is advantageous but not essential; more important is your ability to distil complex financial information into clear, actionable insight.

Confident and articulate, you will be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge. Highly organised and analytical, with strong Excel capability, you will combine attention to detail with a broader commercial perspective. Proactive and collaborative, you will thrive in a fast-paced setting where finance plays a central role in shaping performance and long-term value creation.
