An international, product-led B2B distribution and e-commerce group is looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner to support its UK business.

The company is a substantial European operator with a strong market position, broad customer base and complex supply chain. It continues to invest in digital capability, operational efficiency and commercial growth, with finance playing an important role in improving decision-making across the business.

This is a commercially focused role, working closely with senior stakeholders across commercial, sales and operations. It would suit someone who enjoys moving beyond reporting into genuine business partnering, using financial insight to influence decisions around growth, margin, working capital, cash and value creation.

The Finance Business Partner will act as a key member of the local management team and help shape performance management across the UK business. The emphasis is on insight, challenge and action rather than simply producing numbers.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with commercial and operational teams to support strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
• Providing financial insight on sales performance, margin, profitability, cash collection and return on invested capital.
• Identifying risks, opportunities and performance trends early, and helping the business respond with clear actions.
• Supporting local market plans, including growth, margin improvement and operational performance initiatives.
• Leading performance review processes and embedding a more data-led approach to planning and decision-making.
• Working closely with central finance teams on reporting, audit coordination, controls and finance operations.
• Improving the quality, relevance and commercial impact of financial information across the business.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong commercial finance or business partnering experience. They will have the capability to work in a product-led, operational or multi-site environment and will be comfortable challenging and influencing non-finance stakeholders.

Experience with ERP/reporting tools, ideally Oracle, would be useful, alongside strong Excel and analytical capability.
