They are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial CFO who thrives in fast-paced, growth environments and has a proven record of driving value creation and leading M&A within PE-backed software companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape the financial strategy: Partner with the CEO and Board to define and deliver a financial roadmap that fuels growth, profitability, and long-term value.
• Drive value creation: Unlock growth through pricing optimisation, upsell strategies, international expansion, and new product modules and markets.
• Own financial performance: Oversee accurate, insightful reporting, forecasting, and KPIs that empower data-driven decisions and prepare the business for a successful exit.
• Corporate finance leadership: Manage capital structure, refinancing, and fundraising initiatives to support expansion.
• Cash & risk management: Maintain strong liquidity, cash flow, and controls while mitigating financial risks.
• M&A execution: Lead bolt-on acquisitions and ensure seamless integration to maximise synergies.
• Team leadership: Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing finance team aligned with the company’s ambitious growth goals.
• Stakeholder engagement: Serve as the key financial link to the PE sponsor, banks, auditors, and other partners.

Profile

• Proven experience as CFO within a PE-backed B2B or B2C SaaS business.
• Strong background in scaling software companies, with a hands-on and commercial mindset.
• Track record in value creation, M&A, and exit preparation.
• Experience managing leveraged structures and investor relations.
• ACA / Wirtschaftsprüfer qualification with solid understanding of UK and German accounting standards.
• Bilingual in English and German
• Willingness to travel across DACH and to London for board and investor meetings.
