A well-known leisure and hospitality business is recruiting a Financial Accountant. They are rapidly growing and have recently secured private funding to support growth and more site openings. This is an exciting and challenging time for the business, and you will be in a high-profile position with exposure to the executive team. As part of your role you will take responsibility for delivering all reporting requirements, the annual audit, management accounts and annual budget for several operating companies, and preparation of the Consolidated Financial Statements. This will include managing the external audit process, preparation and delivery of the annual statutory accounts for the Company, VAT returns, implement and improve effective accounting policies, and act as the point of contact for third parties – e.g. HMRC, Auditors. You will drive a robust internal control’s environment and set up an efficient balance sheet reconciliations process.
The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant with experience of working in an accountancy firm. You will demonstrate strong technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of how this applies to commercial transactions. You will be motivated towards working in a hands-on financial accounting role in a fast-paced business. You will show an appetite to work collaboratively with other departments and the rest of the business to drive growth.
