Our client is a fast-growing and highly entrepreneurial multi-site hospitality business. They have a large and diverse portfolio of sites and properties. They are recruiting a newly created Financial Controller role reporting directly to the CFO. This role will cover all aspects of the business. Your key stakeholder will be the CEO and you will partner with them commercially to deliver on the company’s financial strategy.
They are about to enter the next stage of their development and this is a hugely exciting time to become involved. They have recently raised a significant amount of capital to fund future expansion in the UK and overseas.
You will play a key role in developing and delivering timely and accurate KPI reporting to drive effective decision making. You will build a first-class finance team (currently 10 heads); implement a highly efficient financial close process, deliver an accurate rolling P&L and cash flow, and drive best practice and continuous improvement of processes and controls. You will be involved in various ad hoc accounting projects – e.g. to identify a new accounting system and take overall responsibility for its implementation.
You will also be heavily involved in the commercial aspects of the business and drive highly insightful analysis, surrounding operations and strategy. Therefore, you will develop strong relationships across the business and be involved in making the key decisions.
The successful candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant (or equivalent) with a strong track record of financial reporting in a fast growth environment and using technology to drive efficiencies. Demonstrate an understanding of the demands of working in a VC/PE backed company. You will possess strong communication and stake holder management skills and be comfortable working as part of a team or independently.There is a generous basic salary and strong benefits package on offer for the successful candidates.
Basic salary: approximately £80 – 100,000. Plus, generous benefits and bonuses.
